Hi – I’m Rona Dahlgren, one of the principals of More Payment Choices. We provide solutions for businesses to accept payment by check or credit card. I was in federal bank regulation for 16 years and have seen a lot of changes in how money moves as well as the increase in cost and risk. The changes have also created new choices for business in how they can get paid.
We started business in 2003 as Collect More Checks, Inc. (www.collectmorechecks.com) to provide free check collection to business. We expanded our check services as regulation caught up with technology. Our customers kept asking about credit card services and as I’m sure you’ve noticed, credit cards are widely used and basically a required payment choice.
Quite frankly I thought that with my background, understanding credit cards would be easy. Fortunately I am open to continued education. What we have found as we expanded our services into More Payment Choices, is that many business owners also believed that setting up a merchant account would be as easy, safe and risk-free as setting up a checking account. That is just not the case.
I am so pleased that we are here to make a difference in education, payment choices and service to business owners.
